Scott Clevenger

Scott has been playing guitar for 20 years and teaching beginner and intermediate lessons for the last 6 years.

He has been in several bands that played in and around KC for 10 years and currently teaches acoustic, electric and bass guitar.

He prefers to start beginners on acoustic, to build up hand strength, but can start with electric if preferred.

He does not teach or require the ability to read sheet music preferring to teach his students how to read guitar tablature and learn how to play by ear. Students must be a minimum of 10 years old and be willing to practice every day.

Class are taught downstairs in the music room, parents are welcome to sit in on the lessons if the student is comfortable.

Amplifiers are provided in the room, but students playing electric must have their own small amp for practice at home.
